Connect With Your Game - Chip and Run

By: Golf Shake | Wed 04 Apr 2018

Many golfers are intimidated by the short or long chip shot straight up the green to a fairly simple or generous pin, this all stems from the nervous behaviour that occurs when most golfers perform that delicate or simple chip shot to the pin.

Carter believes that alot of these problems can be avoided by the set up of the shot and a variety of club selections. In his opinon the standard option of hitting the ball high and spinny does not typically work and forces golfers into uneccessary trouble.

By analysing the situation and attempting the simple and more consistent shot which Carter believes to be the chip and run, he feels that on the course your scores will beging to diminish and improvements around the greens will start to shine through.

Andy Carter is a Golf Coach and Teaching Professional at the European Tour Performance Institue at the Jumeriah Golf Estates in Dubai.  Andy also provides daily tuition and interactive content on his Youtube channel Improve My Golf.
