chris, what is the difference between the 2 clubs as in shaft specs and ball flights and distances.

I ask this because i am just looking at options available to me as i am considering buying a 3 wood for off the fairways.  I am loooking for a low to mid ball flight using Pro v1x balls,

I know your answer will be specific to your own swing speed etc but it would be interesting to know the improvements or differences that you have observed.

I am far from an expert but I went through a phase were I thought I hit the ball better with a stiffer shaft.  Since I have had lessons my pro advised me to slow my swing speed and use a regular shaft to improve my disperssion rate.

He was spot on, I am more consistent with my driver now (Nike Dymo) and so I've just managed to get the same Nike 3 wood on eBay for £40 - bargain.  It has worked and my shots are now consistently straighter with less effort.

In terms of ball flight, I have always hit a high ball, something which annoys my playing partners as I get those lovely soft landings.

Loving my new bit of kit, God bless eBay.
