And just moved to York. Also as I will no longer be chasing a football at weekends will now have plenty of time for some golf.
I was hoping for a few recommendations of courses close to York. And if one would be worth joining?
Ta,
Duncan |

Hello Duncan. Fulford Golf Club - Very nice but expensive. Strensall Golf Club - dare I say the nicest course in York... someone will be along to disagree. Aldwark Manor - not played it but heard its come a long way in recent years. Easingwold Golf Club - about 10 miles north of York. Again, another nice layout. In total, including Easingwold you have a choice of 10 clubs around York, so plenty of choice. |

Welcome mate. Forest of Galtres is not bad and quite cheap at £650 for 7 day membership. Pike hills is quite a nice course but I think it's a bit more expensive. |

Pike Hills - there is a bog in the middle of it. A nice course but if you susceptible to insect bites it might not be a good choice. |
