The original goal was to try and get around 40 teams with 8 teams making it through to the final http://glfs.hk/gsNNDI

present numbers show around 50+ possible teams, therefore:

this is the very last call to register with the closing date being Tuesday 12th April

See the teams registered in the post below but by my reckoning we have

South - 16 teams

Midlands - 8 teams

NW - 7 teams

Yorkshire/North East - 7 teams

Scotland - 4 teams

Darren, I can't for the life of me find the page to register for this event. Please let me know, either on here or PM me. Me and John Sweeney want to play in the South league.

Darren,

Given I will have a new baby in the house in the very near future I will have to pull out as I would struggle to make enough dates, sorry!

Regards,

Col

Colin

shouldn't worry too much, your baby will probably be starting school before the first round...

Darren, please take myself and Andy Adams off the above list.

Being as expressions of interest were asked for last August, we've been waiting a fair while for this to get going and the summer months are starting to get booked up.

Looks like John Sweeney and I have missed the boat on this one  Despite our best efforts to register before the deadline our names don't appear on the list. Where did everyone go to register? I tried and couldn't find the link. Sorry for being an idiot (and no comments from David Marshall, thank you!).

James no worries, it didn't take off like I had hoped and hence the dragging. The plan is to still push ahead in an experimental form.  Having done other variances of events it makes me wonder if the approach is registraion fees to get confirmed and concrete interest from players rather than the approach I've previously taken.  Just to clarify though there is no plan to charge an entry fee for this or other events.

Stu you are on the list if you want to be ?

Regards, Darren.

Yes please Darren, still interested. Me and John Sweeney have agreed to pair up. Haven't heard from John Sweeney for a while though, so if he drops out I would be happy to pair up with John Pettitt. I've heard he's still a reasonably good player...

Good stuff, if this doesn't quite fit within the 2011 season then that is all fine.  It's experimental and trying to find out what people want and what we (golfshake) can help to assist/faciliate.  The North vs South is a great event and just trying to find others which are different and people want to play.

Hi there,

Myself and Bob cole are registered in the South area, so if there are any pairs in the same region that fancy having a game let me now and we can arrange something?.. Any games would have to be either saturday or sunday due to work commitments (sorry). Don't see why we can't start this ourselves and let Darren know the results?.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Dan Mould and Bob Cole

Is there any news on how this is moving forward? It seems a shame to shelve it after quite a number of pairs are signed up ready to go, what's the delay?
