Well I got up about 4pm (worked nights last night).

Just a bit of packing and I'm off to Portugal for my first ever golf holiday.

Playing seven rounds in seven days so it will count as a golf trip!  lol  I just hope my equipment will keep up with the pressure.

Really looking forward to it, especially playing golf without all the extra clothing.

Have you had the beanie hat surgically removed already Russ?

Weather looks good, see you at Alto!

How am I going to swing a golf club wearing a polo shirt?

So used to the base layer, t-shirt, roll neck jumper and windcheater!

Even if it rains Matt I'll still enjoy it.  I'm there to make the most of it.

Seven rounds in seven days, just can't wait to get out there and hit some balls.

I'm not jealous, I'm going. Hopefully if the flight is not delayed we'll be teeing off at Alto earlt afternoon. I'm sure you'll like it Russ and at £25 (well done Peter Wilson...and the great dral at Murtago on Fri £30 with a buggy) you really can't go wrong.

Hi All,

Newbie here.  Took up golf in January this year (2011)  as I am going to TPC for 3 rounds (including one on the championship course surprisehttp://www.golfshake.com/scripts/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/omg_smile.gif" title="surprise" width="20" />) to celebrate a mates 40th.  Going out in October so thought I had better start, as I've never played more than 3 or 4 games a year, and haven't picked clubs up for over 2 years.

Had 3 lessons so far, very impressed with  the professional - but need  a lot of practice before I make an ass of myself over in the States.

V nervous already!!
