I finally got round to being custom fitted for my new set of irons after so long pondering what to go for.

After trying lots of makes and models i have gone for the taylor made burners as they felt the best and i was more consistant with these than any of the other makes.

I have also had a nike machspeed hybrid club to replace my 3 iron again tried lots of different clubs and this one came out on top.

I was very surprised at the lie angle of my new irons i have had to have them made at 3 degrees flat my last irons were 2 degrees upright.

Been waiting nearly 2 weeks for them to come from taylor made and i am picking them up tomorrow morning so cant wait to get out and play a round.

I know Wayne.

I was really impressed with the fitting i was there a good 2.5 hours and tried lots of different club heads and shafts till i got the right combination.

What impressed me the most was he first made me hit my existing 6 iron a few times and monitored me on flightscope my swing speed was an embarrasing 57 mph.

When we had worked out the right clubs for me he had increased my swing speed up to 78 mph.

Really looking forward to getting out there and lowering my handicap now.

Hi Bob

When the pro ordered them he said they would take up to 2 weeks as they had to come from america.

He said there was a back log because of the ash cloud but 5 weeks boes sound a bit to long to have to wait.

They will be worth the wait though my mates got a set of R9s they are really nice but were a bit out my price range.
