I had the very great pleasure of playing Bentley Golf Club today. The course is a very well maintained parkland course. Fairways are tree lined with a variety of mature trees, but the good thing is they have kept the grass underneath short. This means you can find your ball but will probably have to play out sideways! When I stood on the first tee I looked down the first fairway and you could see the criss cross pattern on the fairway. The tees, fairways and greens were immaculate. I found the greens to be very true and it was interesting to find that any putt of six feet or under appearred to be a straight putt! There were very few pitch marks or belmishes on the greens. A good mix of holes made for an interesting, if higher than average round of golf for me. There are tight tee shots with an open green, followed by an open fairway to a tight green. It was £27.50 for the round but with the quality of the course it is well worth paying to have a round of golf here. This is the best course I have ever played on Russ |
