Sorry John, not working at the moment so cannot afford to go!!!!

It does seem like I'm destined never to play this game.

And the worst thing is that I'm playing really well at the moment!

That's at great shame Russ    but ,I must say there is a guy in Wigan in the same boat as you and he will crawl there if he has to .

Especially if I forget to pick him up

Why don't all of the other North Team members chip in a couple of quid to help Russ out, nothing wrong with a bit of team spirit and I would certainly oblige.

Russ - just make sure you win your match!!!

I'm really surprised no-one's taken this up. There's a chance I'm in hospital on Monday or Tuesday so can't commit, otherwise?

Colin Astbury lives in Essex, so he would probably help Russ, however I am quite sure that Russ would not wish to be beholden to anyone. I know I wouldn't.

I can finally finish off my pairings list now, I had to delay it because if one of our team had won the Shell Housten Open they would have been eligable for the Masters

Now that I am unemployed it appears that I will have to give the NvS game a miss.

There always seems to be something that comes up to stop me playing.

I couldn't take people chipping in to help me play, I'd be owing too many people.

To be honest, I'd only want to play if I could get up there for the Sunday practice game, which in turn means a night in the hotel plus a bar bill!

Now if somebody was willing to loan me enough to travel up there, stay overnight and then play the games, I'd have to seriously consider it.  But I cannot in the current climate say when I would be able to repay the loan.

Probably better to give this year''s game a miss and hope for third time lucky in 2011.

Darren I'm not that far away, If you are really stuck I will come along as I have not met anyone of the forum yet. Pray for some dry weather with wind as the Abbey is notoriously wet in winter. Just let me know by Friday with the details.

Is anybody driving up to this game on the Monday morning, and would be able to give me a lift, I'm in Romford, not far from Junction 28 of the M25?

I could play but will need to get up there and back on the day.

Willing to pay towards the fuel costs but as I'm unemployed you may have to wait a while for it, sorry!

Russ
