First birdy today.....great feeling too

So far on my golf journey I've yet to (before today) get a birdy....when I've had opportunities to do so - I've not got that 1 putt that was needed !

I've had plenty of 1 putts....just not ones for birdy

Well today was no different - but the birdy I did get was from a chip off the green over a bunker with my new (old) Ben Hogan wedge. So if I'm honest I really count it as a flukey birdy rather than a truly worked birdy from a putt, but it is good to get my first one the less.

Congratulations Lewis, it's a great feeling when you get a birdie.

And for you it's that little bit extra special as you chipped in from off the green, so not only a birdie but a zero putt as well!

No Lewis...

There is a saying in golf..It's not how, it's how many

In other words..It's not how you play a particular hole..It's how many shots it takes you to play it.

It's a compliment

I know...thankyou Mr Marshall - I was just joking

but I would prefer to have a birdie that had less to do with luck....but then I suppose luck plays such a big part of each and every round we all play

You are good to respect me Lewis..

I can understand your inclination to humour deluded people..You are playing for the North, after all.. And you can't get more deluded than that

All that matters in a round of golf is what score you put down on the card!

So all my cards have 2, 3 or 4 on them!!!
