I don't know who is advising Tiger Woods at this present time, but they are making a complete hash of it!

The timing of his so called 'Press Conference' was poor.

Accenture were the first sponsors to drop Tiger once his affairs came to light.

So to have his 'Press Conference' during their tournament just stinks.

Then onto the so called 'Press Conference' where only invited guests were allowed in makes me laugh.

Also, no questions!

I seriously think that Tiger needs to change his advisors.

Apparantly he gave the 'conference' when he did as he was in between stages of his therapy.

Whilst not having a lot of sympathy for him, I do feel that what he said and the way in which he said it took a lot of guts. He has obviously had a massive 'wake up call' and I wish him well.

Yet another American baring his soul stage in a contrived stage managed fiasco. Why didn't he say 'I tried my arm (or other parts of his anatomy) and thought I could get away with it but I didn't' I'd have had a bit more respect for him but all he seemed to be doing was damage limitation.

I would have tried:

I am the most famous sportsman in the world.

I am the richest sportsman in the world.

I can't help having a bit on the side when I am away on tour but hey, you come to watch me play great golf so whats the problem!

The wife has dumped me so its game on!!

Not exactly media friendly but it would have been more believable than the crap he has been told to spout!!

I think it's a joke, why does he need to apologise to the world? surely he only has to apologise to his wife and family?. But the biggest joke is the golfers that continue to kick him while his down. How many of them would be earning the money they do if Tiger hadn't raised the profile of golf to where it is. Doesn't make right what Tiger did, but might make his fellow golfers keep their mouths shut.

As his agent said, friday was the best time to do this conference as people were like "will he play next week or week after"etc ect. Next weeks PGA event had a closing time of 6pm Friday so if if he had done what Erie Els had wanted and waiting until Monday wouldnt he have been stringing the tour along again before he went back to therapy?

As for the invite only and no questions wouldnt you have done the same? This is between himself and his wife and maybe he feels the media have had their story why dig deeper?
