I put my name do to play in the North v South game this coming April.

Did it early so I knew I would get a place.

Then I had an e-mail from Darren requesting my deposit.

Finally got the details for that sorted out, only to find out that the wife had booked a Monday to Friday break that very week!!!!

She's been saving coupons from the papers to get a week away for a tenner, can't go wrong with that, or can she???   Yes we can, she only picked the wrong dates.

Missed the game last year as I couldn't afford it due to no work!

Now I'm going to miss this years event due to being in Bridlington for the week.  Good golf courses up there so I will take my clubs with me.

Oh well, third time lucky, where to I put my name down for the North v South 2011 game?

Russ

John or I can keep you in touch with events.

We can send you the pictures of the look of Mysterons as they suffer a crushing defeat.

Tell you how much they got hammered by.

And tell you who beat Tim and Waynetta for the 4th time in a row...Sorry that should be Marjorie and Waynetta

It'll be gripping stuff

Darren M, Russ may live in the South in Essex, but his allegiance is to where he comes from and that is Doncaster, which I believe is up north.

You did just that, several years ago.. And look how you turned out.

Everybody knows civilisation ceases past Watford

Cause they now realise how easy it is to beat you Mysterons. And they want, and are going to, make you lot suffer

Sounds great to me Russ...

Game with the North v South

Chill after it

Then go home and have the place to yourself for a few days

Magic - might even start saving tokens for my missus...

John is correct, I'm from Doncaster which is in South Yorkshire (Greatest County in the country).

The fact that I've emigrated to Essex means nothing to me!!!!

Hi Russ, i played with you at southern qualifier for  Golfshake open last year. Was hoping to catch up again, but it seems it is not to be.

I to was born in Yorkshire, but have to say that the life of a Northern Monkey was not for me, and i am a fully fledged Southerner and proud !!

Shame about your wifes plans, but at least it saves you gettin beat again !

All the best

The worst part about this now is that we didn't get our first choice of dates so I could have played in the NvS game!!!!

Too many people waiting in the wings for me to be able to leave my name on the list until I knew what was happening.

Who knows, maybe I'll go up and play the Sunday game (if I can) and help out with the game on Monday.

My wife is a 'Southerner' so I'm beginning to wonder if she has knobbled my chances of playing!

I'm now wondering if she was contacted by one of the Southern team and they told her what dates to say she had booked.

It's one of those low things that the Southern team would do I think......

Seems funny how the "South" team, well namely one gobby captain is now quite vocal when they have been sooooooo quiet over the past 3 years.

We (the North) know the outcome to this years match and will prove it on the day

The ONLY thing the North team need to know, and you and I know that they know it, is that they are gonna lose.

Why you ask? As if you didn't know already....

THE SOUTH CAPTAIN HAS ARTIFICIALLY INCREASED HIS HANDICAP PRIOR TO THE EVENT. HE OBVIOUSLY FEELS THREATENED AND IS USING  UNDERHAND TACTICS TO AID HIS TEAM WHICH STILL HAS NO CHANCE OF WINNING.

By the way...We know what WILL happen to us...WE WILL WIN

You will need all the dignity you can muster, Mr North Captain. Dignity in get beaten  thrashed again.

And it ain't arrogance...It's total confidence in Scarlet and the whole of the South team

And I'm certain that the captain for the North team will have an excellent winner's speach!

You get the voice of the Mysterons coming out with claptrap and blurb.  Followed closely by Captain Black, who is scared of ghosts, peeping out from behind his mates dress sticking up his middle finger.

Just bring it you two..................The pairing that gets you is in for an easy ride
