We used to keep the Shop at Roundhay GC open in order to sell Hot Drinks and Mars bars to the "Sledgers".

The Pro at Temple Newsam used to sell Sledges when snow was about. Mind you, Pro's at that time were on Retainers of about £20-£50pw and not wages of £20,000+pa like they are today.
