That makes me slightly below average but not short....

That will do me nicely....

Hmm, makes me realise that my distances aren't nicely linear like that.  And besides, I can hit a divot 60 yds with my PW...

Never thought I'd be happy to be called 'average'

Weird, some of my clubs make me long, whilst others make me average, I know what clubs I'll be using in future!!!

I'm the same... I wish it was that consistant...

I hit my 8-iron 140 - 150 consistantly but 8 out of 10 times when I try my 7iron, I can barely break 100yards. Yet my P-wedge I can be accurate from 90 - 120 yards...

I think it's down to having a old generic set that aren't fitted... Getting fitted for new irons this spring!

Driver I can get to 200, 3wood 220...

Wierd isn't it?!?!

Are the distances carry or the total distance the ball goes.  If the latter I'm short on SW, wood and driver and average to long on all the other clubs.

The important piece of info everyone needs to know is how far they hit a club

Wow!!! I didn't realise quite how long I am with my irons - but only marginally above average with my woods. Something needs to be rectified - do I try to lengthen my wood yardage or temper my iron yardage??? Discuss....

Don't give me that rubbish, Kevin, you know damn well how long you are with your irons. I think the 10th on the Wellington says it all.

If you really do want to increase your wood length then may I suggest you buy a driver so that you can keep it in the lower stratosphere.

The yardages in long fit my clubs within 5 yards across the whole range yet I know plenty of people who hit clubs much further than me so they must be extra long across the board !!
