Lovely pieces of kit I'm sure, beautifully crafted.  It's just a shame that the guy from golf ballistix doesn't understand the forging process either...

Most of them that do the spamming don't have any idea Tim about clubs, they're just brain dead to sell the crap they have.

What do you reckon Wayne, a long technical ramble on the difference between forging and casting?  I can feel one coming on...

Jonny, no not at all.  It's just that the reasons they give for using forging rather than casting strays into the realms of golf pseudo-science rather than sound engineering practice.  They (Mizuno) stray into the usual buzz-word BS of 'grain flow' forging as if it's something that was specifically developed for golf clubs, rather than a generalised manufacturing process that yields different results to casting.  Forging is an expensive, wasteful and skilled process, but the difference between that and casting is very small nowadays and basically boils down to the design and material specification of the club head to give the desired results rather than the manufacturing process.

Ah, see what you mean now Jonny.  Hopefully will have a chance to start on the golfers guide to forging and casting soon.
