Hi all, can you help please.

We are a group of approx 10 golfers who go away each spring.

Looking for a UK golf resort we can stay at with 2 different courses in the south of England, we are from Kent.

Ideally with lots of water as my mates can't hit as straight as me!!

Budget for 2 nights and 3 rounds approx £250.

We have played Meon Valley-very nice too!

Thanks and regards

Steve (16 handicap)

If you fancy travelling North into Essex Steve, Five Lakes has got two courses - only played one of them and it's sort of an inland links with enough water for me.  Hotel is pretty good and I still get fairly good offers from them after we stayed there.  Further up into Suffolk there's Stoke by Nayland - although I haven't played it since they opened the new course but it was a pretty stiff test, not much water but nicely up and down.

Try Cottesmore - 2 decent courses, hotel is friendly.

Forgot to mention that Cottesmore is in West Sussex.

Alternatively, Foxhills has 2 excellent courses. Situated near Woking, also has hotel attached.

Stapleford Abbotts GC is in Essex, Near Romford.

Two eighteen hole course, one tough and one decent.

Both courses have plenty of water.

Thirteen ponds on the Abbotts Course (tough one) and two par threes have a large pond between you and the green.  The rest of the course has the ponds along the sides of the fairways/greens.

The Priors course has ten ponds, with the eighteeth hole being a 140 yard par three totally over water.  Many a good round has come to an end on this hole.  Large pond between the tee and the green, but also out of bounds behind the green.

Plenty of places to stay near to the course as well.
