I have been waiting 10 months for my last two copies of Golf Punk. Like other bloggers I have tried to phone, fax and e-mail this deplorable company but with no effect. I know its only two copies but it is my money. What is certain is their circulation list has lost another reader but it seems that this does not matter to them. A great pity that such a great mag has foundered on the stupidity and incompetence of their management. Sack them or promise them a rise (then don't pay it but don't tell them!!!!) |

Dave read my posts on this and the lengths that I went to all to no avail. Crooks and they know it. |

Simple really 3 things you can do: (I'm a student solicitor, but I have to say that you shouldn't rely on this advice and seek professional legal advice, as I disclaim any liability if you decide to follow it) 1. Use s75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, if you paid by credit card to get a refund for the transaction. The card supplier will then chase up the magazine for their losses. But... this option isn't available to some credit cards including American Express. 2. Tell the office of fair trading, BBC watchdog, and anyone else you can think of. They may investigate on your and others behalf, and reach a settlement. If they're going broke, well then not really worth anything, since other creditors are likely to take priority. 3. Sue them. Use form N1 from HM Courts. Costs £30ish. Sue for the costs of the magazine, suing, the other magazine you bought in lieu of not receiving that publication, the free gifts you never received so had to buy balls at the club shop! Probably better to do this if they're going under and you didn't use a credit card covered by s75. But you'll learn to cut up that AMEX! |
