We have had great golfing holidays abroad in the last few years. We go away every year numbers range from 16-24 and usually include a few non golfers as well. Last year we went to Parque De Floresta in Portugal, very enjoyable only downside was that it is a bit far away from the town. This year we went to Villaitana in Spain and must say accomodation was spectacular but golf course only okay, greens were very bumpy and they were doing a lot of work on the course (has to be done i suppose)

Next year we are considering Roda in Spain or one of the hotels in Belek, Turkey. Any comments on either of these suggestions or others we might consider are very welcome. We dont mind playing only one or two courses and particularly like staying on the golf course as we find transfers a nuisance. One year one of our lads calculated that in the week we spent over 8 hours in the bus (thats a full day wasted!)

The only downside for us with Turkey is that We are based in SW Ireland and need to fly to UK to get connection and timing usually means an overnight stay in Stansted.

Shame about being in Ireland Kieran, I know Anatolian Holidays are offering some fantastic deals, flights and AI for Feb £559 and with 4 rounds of golf.

Not sure if your aware of Golf Amigos (www.golfamigos.co.uk) I use them every year for the Algarve in Feb, next year we're getting 6 rounds, 4* Hotel and vehicles for £299 and then flights on top.

Thanks Wayne i will check out Golfamigos. We got great deal this year from yourgolftravel but previously used golfbreaks found both very good. Hope they all manage to stay in business in what are tough times.

i think we are looking at April May next year for our first trip followed by another in Oct.

Anyone stayed in fairplay golf and Spa in Benalup? This has also been suggested as a venue.
