Surprise Surprise, Golfpunk have gone to ground again. After receiving one more copy of their magazine a few months back there has been nothing since. Same situation as before with the failure to respond to emails etc despite Jack Edmunds at the magazine saying during a telephone conversation with him that all queries would be responded to within a few days. Anyone else having the same problem?

Peter i was going to subscribe to golf punk but with all the bad press they get on here i decided to get golf monthly instead its a lot better mag and no probs with delivery its on time every month.

Tell them your getting your solicitors involved and passing the costs on to them see what they do then.

How much money are we talking about here? If it is via direct debit, just cancel. If you paid up front, then you can either go to small claims (if the amount justifies it) or write it off.

Another option is if you paid via credit card. They will be jointly liable and should refund the cost to you whilst chasing them for a refund (although this may be for purchases over £100 - some companies still honour it for amounts below).

Hi Peter still on the same old junk or Punk if you prefer. I have served a CCJ against JF Media and they have just ignored it. On monday I posted a letter attached to a copy of the CCJ explaining the error of their ways and have still not received a reply. So my next move is to admit that my cash and FREE Ho Ho Gift have gone and send a copy of the same letter to Todays Golfer and Golf Monthly asking them to print it to warn others about to subscribe. If any one has any better sugestions pleas post them on here.

Good evening,

I took the Open Special Offer in July / August 2008 and have been chasing it ever since. The offer was balls and belt for about £40 - I think I got two copies of the magazine for my money, and no sign of the gifts.

Have spoken to most of the staff there and as pleasant as they are I don't think they have a clue what is actually happening.

I bought a years subscription for my fiance for his birthday back in July (to include free balls!) and to date we have received nothing.  I have emailed this jack whathisface three times with no response, I called them today and spoke to someone called Sarah who said my copy would be with me end of next week.

I have since called my credit card company following the posts on this site and have asked them to cancel the charge to my card.  They can do this 30 days after the original charge which will be next week - thank god I did it on my credit card, sorry to those who weren't so lucky, its only £30 odd quid but its the principle right!?

Any other ideas for a very late b-day present for my other half? gold related of course!!

It seems they have gone bust. If you Google Golf Punk or JF Media none of the links work. So how do we get our money back in this situation?

JF Media is still going having been refinanced although only one issue has come out so far this year. They owe me money and other freelancers like me yet are still having a drinks party in South Street at the Rule pub, St Andrews prior to next week's Open Championship on Tuesday 13th at 6.30. The invite says they have hijacked the pub- well would anyone expect this bunch to pay for anything?

E-mail editor Shaun McGuckian on shaun.mcguckian@jf-media.co.uk and tell him how impressed you are with the standards set by his magazine.

We need to call in our resident spelling expert Wayne on this one:

Is 'McGuckian' spelt correctly? I thought that there was an 'F' somewhere in the name?

And, speaking of names, surely 'punk' was a giveaway?
