Anyone played golf over there?  I've got hols booked for next year and have been told I can play "as much as I want"!  I think this means "You can play in the morning if you leave me in bed and you're back by lunchtime".

Any recommendations for courses, costs and whether I'll need a handicap cert?

hi played costa adeje 12 months ago, really enjoyed it great condition, great views,

dont know what time of year you are going,  the summers ok (to hot to play ) so tee times easy to get,

but if you go nov to march courses are very busy, YOU MUST BOOK YOUR TEE TIMES BEFORE YOU GO, plenty of good tee booking services in uk you can use before you go, book well inadvance

I have played there for well over the past ten years.  I agree with Dave, Adeje is one of the better courses on the island, the other one being Los Americas, but it is near the airport, (so youhave to time your swing to coincide with planes taking off/landing!

Googl Earth is a good way of checking out where the courses are.

I used a service from someone in "getinthehole.com", but don't know if he still runs the service. Very efficient! Picks you up, takes you there to play, takes you home, cheap as chips.

I find as long as you appear to know what you're doing and are dressed appropriately, you don't need to worry about a handicap certificate. (I do not have one and have NEVER been asked, anywhere)

Unlucky Chris...............I stayed and played at Golf del Sur 3  9 holes all different but interesting  also close to the airport which is usually very busy. I supose it depends where you are staying on the island, good tip take an old knackered sw/pw as the barankers (volcanic bunkers) wreck your clubs.
