I was in the Direct Golf shop tonight whilst my daughter was having her golf lesson.

On one of the racks I found a 'Divot Repair Tool'

It looked like a small knitting needle with a plastic loop at one end.

Now I've never seen one of these before and I certainly wouldn't have any idea how you were supposed to use one!

Do you mean one of these things, Russ?

 Divot repair tool

I never understand is why they call them a 'Divot'  repair tool. When they are for repairing 'Pitchmarks'

As we all know a Divot is an entirely different thing to a Pitchmark.

David, that is it.

The label on the box says 'Divot Repair Tool'.

I was wondering if you spiked the ground under the divot to loosen it up then put the divot back in and stepped on it!

I've just found this and this shows how good their marketing is as it's a 'Pitch Mark Repairer' and not a 'Divot Repair Tool!'

The pointed end turns out to be no more than a plastic strap.

Russell they do several other tools such as a brush and tee holder which attach to the bag in a similar way.

I have a couple of the tee holders on my bag and find them quite useful (fed up with stabbing my fingers carrying tees in my pocket).

Robert I'm not a lover of going into almost every post on here and seeing your advert!! and even less enjoyable is seeing the spelling mistakes.

I'm not against the odd plug but when your doing it gratuitously, it grates a bit
