Hello everyone, hope this beautiful weather is encouraging everyone to get out there. I've been playing a couple of local courses over the winter and my scores have been slowly improving. I thought I was getting better until I went to Dale Hill to play the Woosnam course. Oh dear.

Hi Derek and welcome, I'm not playing at the moment as my right knee is not working very well, previous years of football taking it's toll now.

Was Dale Hill tough or was it that you thought you could play it easier???

Hi Wayne, sorry to hear about your knee - hope it improves.

I have only been playing for just over a year. I have limited experience of different courses but I thought that Dale Hill is quite challenging.

The Woosnam course is a beautiful course. Some holes are quite straight-forward but nearly all holes have very difficult areas of rough strategically placed. I found that I lost my ball a few times. I have now played the course 3 times. I did manage to get under 100 once and that pleased me no end.
