Poss performance issues

The site currently seems to be experiencing some minor performance issues, with some pages taking up to 10/15 seconds.
I'm currently investigating whether this is a hosting issue which is likely with the intermittent nature. It may also be my internet connection

Ran like a dream this morning but seems to be sporadic again this evening.
I will discuss with my hosting provider tomorrow and update this post.

Update
Looks like an intermittent issue with the hosting. I've released a load of tweaks and carried out successful testing on my old battered PC which I use for stress and development testing.
I'm now planning a hosting upgrade which I do not envisage any downtime but will advise accordingly if a mainteance window is required.

Think I also a FireFox issue. System runs fine in Internet Explorer. grrrrr
