I'm in! The 18th looks tricky! But it will be a nice warm-up for the Worcester YMCA Charity Golf Day on the following Wednesday (only £150 per team, prizes galore, great venue, etc. etc.) Ooops, sorry about that - blatant plug. By the way, hats off to Darren and all at Golfshake for securing some wonderful prizes for this event. Well done! |

Dave it does look tricky but all it requires is a confident 9 iron at the most, when Chris Perry and i play there i always fine the green and he always finds the water |

| Glad I'm in the East Midlands group! That 18th is a real bum clencher, may even come over with the camera! |

Tim i may need you to as i'm going to have a sweepstake on guessing how much balls lost around the 18th £5 a guess 1-40ish winner takes all££££££££££ so may need photographic evidence as we all know how Mr Perry is with cash |

28 players in the high handicap comp last year and 27 balls in the drink on that 18th, gives you a "ball" park figure to start with. Good luck guys, hehehe !!! |

Cliff thanks for that mate, i'm bagging 40 now Will you be entering the West midlands event or the south west as you seem to be just in between both. Paul |

| Just like to say Cliif, two of them were mine and I wasn't even in the competiton. Suprised the level of the lake isn't considerably higher... |

I lost one in there too. The total was at 15 before the last group of duffers rocked up. Satwinder lost 8 balls.... Playing the course Easter Monday so I will do my part to make the lake higher.... |

| Lee you'll love it, the fairways and greens are quite hard at the moment. I've played there 4 times and never failed to hit the green yet, although i've never seen Perry hit the green either. |

| Oh Paul, you've said it now. Definately down there with the box brownie now.. |
Paul WilliamsHandicap : 22.4 Reply : Mon 6th Apr 2009 17:11 |
Tim, Get your name down for it and I'll get you out in the first group so you can be our official 18Th hole photographer. |

| Can't believe you're playing 15 minutes from my house and you haven't invited me Lee. Miserable git! |
Lee MillerHandicap : 21.2 Reply : Mon 6th Apr 2009 18:52 |
| My usual 4ball Chris, wanted to try the course again after last summer. I got a £16 deal for Easter Mon which was too good to pass up. Besides thought you were on your honeymoon. |

I wouldn't mind coming over as a non-participating competitor if there's room, quite enjoyed the course and wouldn't mind having another crack at the 18th. I'm obviously doing the East Midlands region as it's my local area, but having a pint and taking a few snaps of the high handicappers was a good laugh - if anyone wants to see what they're in for go here http://golfshake.com/competition/competitionView.php?ID=3858&type=media |

| Can't wait for my first Golfshake event! Well done Paul for organising, and come on you guys - get paying (although the less players there are, the more chance I've got of winning.........)! |
David HomerHandicap : 15.1 Reply : Wed 17th Jun 2009 17:08 |
| Dave, you have no chance of winning, I've already had the trophy engraved (with Pauls name)! |
Dave Ley / leyoHandicap : 9.4 Reply : Wed 17th Jun 2009 22:26 |
| Guys you want to get yourselves on this it's a great course , I played there earlier in the year with a couple of shakers (Perry&Williams solicitors i think) and it's well worth it a good day out for £36. Don't worry when you see my name on the entry list (Floody) It's not my qualifing venue just coming to support me mate. GET YOUR ACT'S TOGETHER MIDLANDERS. |
John Flood the leftyHandicap : 13.8 Reply : Thu 18th Jun 2009 09:48 |
Dave, I wasn't really worried more a concern when I heard a few non-midlanders had entered & we could end up in a situation where no-one from the Midlands actually qualified Now that Darren has offered to do the scoring etc for you, you can relax & stand a good chance of qualifying Good luck for tomorrow. John. |
