Dec 2006 updates

Well it's the end of the year and what better way to celebrate a fantastic year for GST (golfscoretracker) than to release a load of new updates.  The main updates have been done around golf groups, competitions and profiles.

The best way to see what's changed is to check them out or read on for further information.

Golf groups/societies

• Society home page updated to show top groups, local groups, new groups, my golf groups
• View society home page, showing information, basic competition information, random members, golf blog/golf news, cousrses played
• Easily join societies from the lists or the society home page
• Improved society admin management
• Society leader board page includes hyperlinks to all leaderboards
• Selection of leaderboard added to public pages
• Golf blogs can now be assigned to societies
• Update to group home page show blogs/news etc
• Tag clouds used to show golf society popular courses
• Society home page shows members
• Society updated to include full user hyperlinks
• Friendly society html email notification
• Public society information updated to include full hyperlinks
• Public society page update to show golf blog/news
• Public society home page updated to show course tag cloud, random users and golf society golf news blog

Golf events/competitions

• Creation of seasonal/independent leaderboard
• 3 new types of competition scoring systems introduced, further informaton available within the forum and during the competition creation system
• Tee times booked
• Competitions allow up to 20 groups or 80 competitors
• Competitions you manage show status
• Help Notes added for competition creation
• Competition results updated to inlcude full user hyperlinks
• competition emails include user and competition details
• Competitor status now shows on competition page
• Competitor hyperlink with information and results page
• Competitor administrator can send PMs to all users or selected users
• Friendly competition html email notification
• html wysiwyg editor for competition details

User profiles

• Update to members homepage and navgation to show option for your golf space
• User view updated to include horizontal navigation
• User profile updated to always show handicap and location
• User view now shows random 10 golf buddies
• User view now shows random 10 golf buddies linking to you
• User view updated to include section for blog
• User view now shows hyperlink to your golf societies and golf groups
• User profile page shows courses played and groups/societies
• Tag clouds usesd for displaying user played courses and group/socities

Golf blogs

• Blog posts and comments updated to uses HTML rich editor
• Blog titles hyperlinked to provide quick accesss
• Golf blogs can now be assigned to groups/societies

General updates

• Add your buddies page now live to allow you to email your golf mates and get them using the site.
• Header updated to include group and event requests
• Members Home page updated to include course favourite tag cloud, your golf buddies, your groups.
• Members home page updated to include quick links to your profile and performance pages
• Handicap now shows on home page

Fixes

• Fixed issue when creating competitions, user list does not pull from society members
• Fixed issue with in your bag not always being updated correctly
• Fixed issue with personal details not always being updated correctly
• Fixed issue with the email backups
• Fixed issue allowing paging through competition lists
• Fixed bug when deleting competitions
• Fixed bug when creating multiple account users and not being able to view the profile or showing correctly in society
• Fixed isssue on public society members page when more than 100

Look out for a lot more updates in 2007 which will see alot more statistical analysis and course information updates.
