Golf for Life 28th May 2009

Hi all,
I'm organising this day in support of a charity my wife does a lot of work for, called Swanwick Relay for Life. They have raised nearly £40,000 for Cancer Research UK over the last 2 years. They fundraise throughout the year, although their year culminates in a 24-hour Relay for Life in august each year. See http://www.relayforlife-swanwick.co.nr/ for more info.
I hope Golf for Life will be a fun and enjoyable day for averyone. It will be an 18 hole individual stableford competition, with all the usual prizes and a few surprises along the way. Bacon rolls/coffee will be provided on arrival, along with light snacks after 9 holes and a buffet afterwards. All this for £26. See http://www.golfforlife.co.uk/ for more details.

Hi all,
As summer appears to be drawing nearer, this event is starting to take shape. A chance to help a worthwhile charity and have a good day's golf at the same time. Prizes from many well-known companies and food thrown in as well.

Only a couple of weeks away now. There are more than 25 peple signed up so far and apparently it's going to be a lovely sunny day! Crystal trophies are up for grabs as well as plenty of prizes!

Conformation of the details for this event:
9.00am - 10.00am: Registration with bacon rolls and coffee served
10.20-11.30: Players tee off.
Light refreshements served between 9th and 10th holes.
3.00: Cold buffet served.
3.30 approx: Prize giving ceremony with prizes for first, second, third, longest drive, nearest the pin, blind fourball and lots more!
Have spaces for 4 or 5 more players if anyone fancies it.
