Hello all, this is my first post. I have played golf all my life but, not having ever been a member of a club and not having played more than once a week, I feel I have a lot to catch up on.

You will be pleased to know, Martin that the SSS means that your handicap at Cranham puts you exactly the same as a 22.8 at St. Andrews, according to some on this forum.
No matter what system is adopted be it the SSS or Slope rating until there is a provision for ones handicap to be adjusted accordingly when playing other courses, the whole system is a joke.

Yes, I do Martin, the reason being, I am a member of Crown Golf and those are two of the courses that I get to play for free.
Both very nice courses and always in nice condition.
