hello all here goes, ive decided that i want to get myself an electric golf trolley now - getting too lazy to lugg around my clubs plus just recoverd from sore back also. Ive seen this one on the net below and it seems ok but im no expert on this sort of stuff - can anyone advise please ? the battery power seems ok i think as does the trolley - the ones at my local courses/shops are well over my budget. Id like to spend under the £200 mark. Im hoping that this will comfortably be able to handle a cart bag + about say 20clubs. if anyone can spare some time your thoughts/advise would be much appreciated thanks in advance heres the link - alps http://www.golfchoice.co.uk/product_details.asp?prodid=64

I believe Go-Kart are a good trolley. Plus, the customer service is, as I've heard, exceptional. Check their website, their trolleys are £199.99. You can also order extra's. They don't look all that strong but if you read about them on the website you know they are decent trolleys. |

I have one of these trolleys that are made in China and are virtually an exact copy of the Powacaddy. Thye have their weak points and one of them is in the plastic joint that one clicks the handle into place. I have had to reinforce mine after it broke. The wheels also came apart as they are in two halves so I have had to tape them up as well. The problem is that these trollies cannot stand the weight of a quality cart bag, a full set of clubs and all the junk we wish to carry around with us. They are just not strong enough. Alps, at your age you should be traveling light, a carry bag is all you need. I carried till I was 62 when I had my heart attack. |

cheers chaps i'll definartely check out that link also, john i usually do carry - main reason for the electric one is that itake my son around also and he has about 8 clubs which get thrown in my bag - hes too young to carry/pull clubs around i think that would just ruin his fun at the moment. seen a really trolley though today on the course - it was following the golfer round behind him !! theres someone with a few quid to burn !!lol |

Go-Kart, without hesitation. Even bearing in mind that I've never used any other type, I'd still rave about the Go-Kart. Unbelievable customer service, great product and an english company. Easily got the power to deal with what you're looking for as well. |

I use Motocaddy S1, great cart, almost can't fault it. I'd certsainly get another one when I feel like gassing on a new one. Though the 27 hole battery does last just 27 holes. I'll need to get a 36 hole battery when I am playing my golfing marrathon over in wales shortly. Anyone wondering what cart to get, I'd say these days its really difficult to find a bad one. Even the mucho cheapo electric cart I bought for the better half from Focus a couple of years ago, goes well, not to mention almost forever on one charge. The only real question anyone wanting an electric trolley need ask themselves is, does style & vanity on the course mean a lot to them? (as it does to me). If it does, buying something like the Motocaddy S1 or for the really vain & tech concious the S3 is probably the way to go. Have seen plenty of promo about the Go-Kart trolleys in the press, but have yet to see one in a golf store to have a good look at. Must say I quite like the qurky stikklebrick look about them. Very refreshing in a world of aliminium& brushed steel to see these plastic carts. |

Go-kart £199 free deilivery included. It's so easy to use and folds up so small you would not believe get one they are awesome. out power evrything else made in uk. you get free upgrades if the company brings out new stuff (currently designing grippier wheels for winter). The company is also great communicators for nay help you need. The reason Paul hasn't seen them in the shops is that they are only sold direct from the company in Kent. I looked at ones like on that link but the go kart has more power and cos it's english means better service even out of warranty. www.go-kart.co.uk check them out, they will even let you borrow a demo one 1st!! |

Motocaddy are one of the best trolleys on the market at the moment. In my experience they give excellent customer service, fast delivery, the product is fantastic and every review I have read about them gives them an excellent write up. Powerhouse is a decent trolley for value for money. If you want to spend around £200 then this trolley is ideal and reliable. I have personally used the all terrain one and the remote control one and both were easy to use. These trolleys might be slightly cheaper than other trolleys but dont be fooled as they are quality, sturdy trolleys. If you want to a review of golf trolleys for 2009 head over to www.electric-golftrolleys.com in their buying review section and it gives good advice. |

Motocaddy are alright but note that the PGA have banned the use of SG3 and SG5s in competitions as they fall foul of the R&A Rules on Artificial Devices that provide Measurements. Due to the fact both trolleys give a temperature reading, they can't be used in competitions. So if you own one of these trolleys be careful when using them, as someone may snitch on you to the competition committee. |
