Handicap calculation

Handicap : 19.5

After entering my last set of rounds the handicap calculation was wrong. I recalculated and it is now way out.

Am I recalculating correctly? The first round entered was way back on 5/6/2005 (24 handicap entered manually). When I put in that date it was about 1.2 out.

OK, after reading the newsletter I now can see why the calculation is different.

Could you give me the EXACT date when the changes to the UK handicapping system were implemented. Having recalculated, it has given me a false handicap - therefore I would like to work out what my handicap was before the change occured in order for me to ascertain at which point the new rules apply.

There appears to be a flaw in your recalculation of handicaps. In order for it to be truly accurate, those of us who have been entering scores since your site was set up need to have the old system apply to our scores up until the new changes.

What is needed is an option for recalculating handicap up to the changes date, then another for recalculating since that date. Either that or the recalculation tool should incorporate rules before and after the changes.

I'd be interested to know what the response to this query is... Anyone any comments?
