Hi,

Im looking to book a long weekend away in middle of September. There will be 5 of us going, two couples and my daughter(2yrs).

The main inspiration for going will be golf, but we will also need something for the ladies to do and also child safe areas. Obvioulsy decent weather.

Im thinking of a nice golf resort, preferably with a spa or similar close by and within walking distance to the local village for restuarants etc.

Happy to fly and want to remain in europe, ideally France, Spain or Portugal.

I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas that anyone may have or experiances of similart trips that they could share.

Many thanks

I have stayed here and it has everything, I can assure you. Five golf courses which you can play for free, a craft centre to keep the ladies occupied and in a beautiful settting. September will be good for the weather.

www.golfamigos.co.uk

Vicki or Lynn on 0141-644-0999

won't harm to ask for a quote, you could even try Golfbreaks but definately get a few quotes so you can see the noticable difference in prices.

Thanks John.

However i already go there every year with our society and have done for the last 8 years. In going at the end of August this year and wanted to go abroad for a golf weekend.

Thanks for the suggestion. I would agree that it is a fantastic resort, it improves every year and the new courses really do get better.

Thanks Wayne, i will have a look. Are golfbreaks.com noticeably more expensive then ?

No problem, Oli, may I suggest the many good deals to be had in Northern France, great courses which are easy to get to with your own car.

A week-end to either Spain or Portugal is just not value for money IMO.

Golf amigo's do all over the world and have their own dedicated brochure of france called Golf Amis, Oli.

Re price, it all depends on when you go??? also some companies like to have the chance to review a quote from another company just to see if they can match it!!! win, win situation

I have stayed at Le Manoir and The Westminster. Le Manoir is the cheaper option but the Westminster has a restaurant to die for.

Le Touquet is a seaside resort, so plenty to do.

La Mer is as difficult a course as you will find anywhere, a true links, but La Foret is a nice course also.

You could also stay at Hardelot which has two very good courses, The Dunes and The Pines and they are always doing deals.

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to introduce you all to a fantastic golf course I play on in Spain. There is a wealth of information at www.rodagolfinfo.com regarding the course and all the facilities available. It is well worth a visit, exceptional standards of golf, beautiful sunshine all year round, very easily connected via Murcia airport (which is only five minutes away) as well as the stunning beaches of the mar Menor.

There is a brand new club house which has just opened with fantastic facilities, including a state of the art PGA accredited academy. This location will also soon boast the new headquarters of the PGA of Europe. The course offers challenging features to both low and high handicaps. Check out the course planner!

There are also numerous other courses available in the area including the famous La Manga Club.

All in all, well worth a round
