I would just like to get some feedback on what other golfers around the country think about the price of a bucket of balls at the range? Im paying £3.50 for 70 balls i just think its a rip off.

£5 100 at my local but they only get about 70 back as 30 or so clear the back fence

150 yard driving range, fancy that.

£7.50 100, bleeding rip off.

Take into consideration, Chris, that the driving range itself cost a lot of money to be set up and a lot of money to maintain, so I don't think that 5p a ball is that excessive.

If you feel that strongly about it then save all your old balls and go and practice at your club.

Obviously the practice has paid dividends for you though, Chris. Have you bumped into your fellow member and contributor to this forum, Kevin Hewitt. He is a fine player also and hits it a long way, as well as being a nice chap.

£2.50 for 50 but I'd willingly pay a bit extra for some better upkeep of the range. I tend to use the free practice area if I can get out at lunchtimes; having to go and get your own balls back tends to concentrate the mind on accuracy rather than distance.

I have seen him hit every club, Chris, we played together at Donnington Grove, a powerful striker for sure.

£1 for 30 Balls at our range and we don't use Range Balls but proper golf balls with our own stamp/logo on. Get a lot of good feedback from users for having such a cheap range with quality balls that they get accurate feedback from when hitting them like acccurate yardages.

cheers chris rub it in!!
i was told from my local range which is about 15 miles away that i would need around £1.5 million to start a new range so looks like i will be paying £3.50 for a while

£5.50 for 90 balls here in Worcester.

Never really thought if that's alot - although I still begrudge paying £11 for a round of golf!
