Hi off to the Algrave tomorrow, was just wondering if all the courses can supply Course Planners? I'm emailed the courses a few times but not heard anything.

Also are the courses in the Algrave in metres not yards?

Not been but just in case someone else doesn't post before you go, I do believe they are in metres.

ALso check out this previous post on converting metres into yards if you need it.

Definately metres.   But with the extra distance the ball travels out there, I wouldn't even bother doing a conversion. Because if you do convert, and if I can do it anybody can, it's 10%, and use the club you would use here it will be too long.

Yes all the courses have Course Planners or Scoresavers or whatever you want to call them.

Course guides are great, without them i might miss all the great bunkers and water hazards that the designer intended me to hit. Otherwise id probably just play up the fairway, hit the green in reg and 2 putt and where would the fun be in that.

Once ive played a course once i can usually pick just the right club to hit the fairway bunker without even checking the course guide. How good am I?

Mark that is a weak excuse to tell everyone you're off to play golf in a warm climate, good luck...
