Playing Golf in France for High Handicappers

Posted by: user458384 | Mon 6th Jul 2015 11:31 | Last Reply

Can anybody recommend courses in the Northern France area that would suit the higher handicapped players? We have just come back from Saint Saens in Normandy which was a cracking trip but our group had a number of 26/27/28s HCs within it and they struggled with the course. It would be good for them to have a better chance of scoring well for their ability.

You should try Le Touquet (sp?). My wife and I played there a few weeks back, the clubhouse is getting rebuilt so that's a nuisance but we stayed in their hotel which is literally a 100 yards from the first tees, they have 2 full 18 hole courses and 1 9 hole which to be fair looked pretty crap, we were supposed to play the 2 18's then the 9 on the last day but we just walked onto the better of the 2 18 hole ones and played that again, there are pubs and diners near by but they are 45 min walk if you want a few drinks and the clubhouse is more expensive for food and drink
