Drastic H/CP Drop
After a really good round of golf yesterday my HCP as came down drastic is that right ?? Last year i played quite well and yesterday was the first time in ages ive played like that it was just one of those days when it went right but should my handicap comr down that quick from 28 to 23 after one game ?
Also anybody want a game tomorrow in gloucester AM or PM im thinking Rodway ??

most ive ever seen at my club was a cut of 2.3 shots, was this at your club or on GS?
Im sure there will be some very helpful people along shortly to explain to you how its calculated, i dont have the brainpower for that sort of thing ;p
i have been cut a few times for playing well over a period or winning by a large margin. then they cut me extra but 5 shots does seem a lot

16 over par off a 28 handicap, would be 12 x 0.4 which is 4.8, so yes entirely possible.
Can't really see how you can complain, as if you shot the same score again then you'd still be 7 shots better than your handicap ... although if this was in official competition then your handicap would tumble further as an ESR cut would also have been flagged and you'd probably lose another 2 shots.

So the clues in your posts indicate this is not an official congu handicap then, which is probably quite lucky for you, as if it was then you would have gotten another 2 shot ESR cut aswell . Good rounds though.
Darren, maybe think about adding the ESR calculations into your handicap calculations too ?
