Recommendation near Alderley Edge?
I'm on a brief visit to Alderley Edge next week and have the chance to get out for a round on Wednesday 21st. I don't know the area at all, does anyone have any recommendations?
I'm a budget golfer with a mid-handicap, not particularly fussy - just want to play. Hoping for a round for around £20-£25 (maybe with the assistance of teeoftimes). Don't mind equally if I play on my own or tag along with anyone.
Teeoftimes have deals for...
Mottram Hall
Peover
Shrigley Hall
Altrincham (£10!! - any good?)
High Legh
Any of these any good? Any other recommendations?
Will push the budget a little for a real cracker...
Many thanks...

Macclesfield is decent. Old established course that's challenging and hilly but I play off 14 and was ok round there. Worth a go

New Mills is definitely worth a visit. They have an offer on at the moment of £13 including bacon roll which is cracking value. I may be up there on Wednesday Paul, but won't know for definite until Monday afternoon. Drop me a line if you fancy it.

Thanks for all the advice.
James - Much as I hate to turn down kind offers to meet up for a round, it looks like New Mills is about 45 mins drive from where I will be based so will reluctantly decline.
On the basis that I love hilly courses I going to try Shrigley Hall. Tee off times have a good deal of £17.50 after 1:30.

So, I ended up playing Shrigley Hall and boy am I glad I did!
Yes, very hilly, but I like that. The first few holes were not inspiring but from 7 onwards every hole brought a smile to my face!
Thanks for the advice...
