Boasting - Brabazon 10th Hole.

Played the Brabazon at The Belfry today and entered the Signature Hole Challenge.

The whole day was amazing. I shot a stunning 84, nett 71. I was over the moon and will be going back soon to claim my FREE round on the PGA National, my prize for hitting the green.

Excellent work! No mean feat to hit the green from the tee! What yardage was it playing to?

It wasn't a huge distance. About 235 yards to the middle, about 220 to clear the water. It's not so much the distance, the entrance to the green is quite narrow and the water always comes into play.

It was a great feeling. Capped off an excellent few days.

Cracking shot Chris. It's one of those holes that looks easy on paper until you stand on the tee! Ironically I think that it's probably more difficult off the yellows if they're using the left boxes like it looks like you are, the whites, although longer, open the green up more. At least the pin was at the front, you should try it when it's right at the back, getting on the green is only half the problem.

It was off the yellows on the far left. The shot was bullet straight and never left the pin, never even thought about £10,000 hole in one prize. Only 20ft short!

When played the PGA on the previous day, there was a Par 4 on the back 9 were you could cut the corner, around the same yardage. I nailed that as well! Great practice for the 10th. I even said I hope I hit the same shot on the Brabazon tomorrow - I did!

It's got to be done.

When I played the other day I never had the option as the machine had been turned off. As the sun was very low in the sky I couldn't see where I was hoping to hit it so played short & chipped on.

Yes, a few of us took this deal last month and it is great value. I prefer the PGA to the Barb but both are great courses.
