What The Club Says
Forming part of a magnificent 300 acre estate, including 50 acres of lakes, our highly acclaimed 18-hole championship course is sensitively wrapped around the lakes and the drumlins of the County Cavan landscape. The course presents a wonderful challenge and the devilishly tricky greens present a searching examination of accurate approach play, which adds to the enjoyment factor.
The Par 3 Academy Course at the Slieve Russell is a delight to play at any time of year. With its 9 holes spanning over 1,200 yards, including holes ranging from 106 yards to 187 yards in length, it is a proper test of golf.

Lakeland?s classic
Source Russell was in superb condition despite very poor weather in Cavan around that time. There was rain before we started but the greens were in great shape and putting responded accordingly. There was obviously no run on the ball so for a man who is a short hitter and used of links this made the course a real challenge. Always a tough course but still enjoyable!!!Reviewer Rating

In Great Condition
Was due on the ground which made play difficult but bunkers - fairways - green + tee boxes were in great condition(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 20.5)

Outstanding Course
This is one of the best courses in Ireland. A wonderful parkland course with great holes especially those round the lake. Wonderful Hotel and well worth a visit to unwind and enjoy an excellent challenge on the golf course with very fast greensReviewer Rating

Fantastic course
Amazing course. Easily the best I've played in Ireland. Fairways in perfect condition, greens in great shape.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 103 Handicap: 22.5)

Slieve Russell-a joy to behold
I have never played or seen SR in better condition. It was a joy to behold and a dream, albeit tough, to play. I have to say that the pace of play was good and the course was very well maintained. Greens were superb and fairways were really lush with grass after a wee drop of rain in the previous days. A course that you should all add to your bucket list.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 23.2)
