What the club says: Spread over about 95 acres of very attractive parkland, the course is a good test for all levels of golfer. The greens are the highlight of the course and are rated as some of the best in the UK.
The course itself is highly regarded in the Midlands and is a regular venue for prestigious tournaments.

A Must Play in the Midlands
Superb greens and an attractive challenging layout , especially the back 9, make this a must play course.Good value for money. Pro shop staff are first class. Chef can accommodate special meals if required

Some very scenic Holes
Played this today for the first time. beautiful and very Scenic , but brutal if you don't hit the ball far off the tee. Several blind holes which are quite interesting. Would love to play it again now that I know where the blind holes are. Can be played a lot more strategically if you knew where you were aiming every hole. Outstanding condition
Olton bowl & cup bank holiday Monday 29th August - course was outstanding £45 for 36 holes what a day out. greens running 12.5 and don't get the wrong side of them. Even with the summer drought the course was in fine condition OK some fairway pretty bare but the main areas TEES and GREENS were simple perfect. always a warm welcome from the staff. back soonReviewer Rating

June 2021 amazing condition
played a scratch match @ the club, course is in amazing condition, only issue is the rough could do with a TRIM searching for balls just off the fairway in 6" rough is a pain and slow play killer. greens slick and pure. having not played the course for 25+ years a welcome return not sure why I've not been back sooner !!!!!Reviewer Rating

Played as a guest of a member, so fees reflected. This is a challenging parkland course with plenty of interesting holes - a fair test of golf overall. Haven't played here in a couple of years, and some notable improvements have been made to the course (Greens, bunkers, tees, boundary areas). Best post Covid condition of any course I've played and that includes 'the Arden' at the Forest of Arden. Well worth a visitReviewer Rating

One word....Superb
What a truly fantastic course this is...great mix of par 3?s, some par 4?s are there for the taking some you really are hanging on....same with the par 5?s to be honest...whole course is in great condition.....the greens are as good as I've ever putted on.....A course the members and staff can be really proud of.

What a gem of a course
Played olton with some pals last week and must say I was very impressed. Really well presented, well manicured gold course. It was a challenge but one we all really enjoyed. Lovely little club house, great food and ale. We will be visiting again. Big thumbs up!Reviewer Rating

Business Tigers Spring Challenge Trophy
Our first major outing of the year was the Spring Challenge Trophy at Olton now visited 3 years in a row. The guys like this course as its wide, open and beautifully maintained with challenging greens. The team that hosts us (Steve, Frank & Chrissie) are nice welcoming people and we appreciate as non members being allowed each year to visit them.Reviewer Rating

Really good putting surfaces!
Having not played at Olton for a good few years I played fairly recently and was amazed at the changes that had been made. The bunkers in particular made the course quite a challenge but what a well presented golf course. The greens were running really slick and true and definitely some of the best I've putted on for quite some time. Stunning improvements
This course is well worth a visit. Greens are perfect and quite slick. The club have recently redesigned the greenside bunkers to quite a dramatic effect. No long walks between green and tee but they have some buggies if you can't manage the walkClubhouse nice and food homely

Course and hospitality let down by roganisation
A group of us have played this course for many years at least once annually - yesterday we were VERY disappointed to find a slow 5 ball (is that breaking the rules!?!) playing in front of our leading group, 2 temporary greens with no pre advice from the club before playing or signs on the tees to warn us and visitors showers broken and marked "out of bounds" again with no pre advice or offer to use the members showers as a temporary alternative - goodbyeee OltonReviewer Rating

Tough Course
The course overall played well but extremely long for my game. When you got to the greens they were very hard to read and play which certainly added a certain amount of frustration, although I appreciate I may have been punching above my weight related to my ability. That said it has a fine reputation deservedly so. Clubhouse and food very nice. Certainly worth a visit if you like a challenge.Reviewer Rating
