What the club says: The Golf Course was laid out in 1936 by the legendary H S Colt who was also responsible for the design and remodelling of many famous courses including the New and Eden courses at St Andrews, Muirfield, Sunningdale and Royal St Georges. Edgbaston is a natural parkland course surrounded by mature woodland. It is a tight course that demands accurate play to tricky greens that are always in excellent condition. Edgbaston was nominated as one of the top 200 courses in the UK by Peter Alliss.

On arrival at the gate there was a feeling and look of quality. The welcome in the pro shop was friendly and the surroundings were fabulous and with none of the stiffness that sometimes comes with clubs of this age and history. The course itself was in top conditions, the greens were superb - fast and true. Layout is varied, no 2 holes are alike and requires thought and local knowledge (i now know better) to score well. I thoroughly enjoyed Edgbaston and will most certainly return again.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic course
Fairways are like they haven't been used, very lush and green. Greens are fast (but similar to my home course). Tight fairways defined by trees, with forgiving rough beneath them. Pace of play was very slow, behind 3 or 4 matches and we were waiting from the 3rd hole on most shots which was disappointing.Reviewer Rating

Great greens but...
The greens on the course were in great nick and and very tricky to read...a very good defence. Unfortunately the fairways are not currently in good condition, the dry spell of weather seemingly taking its toll with lots of bare patches on the fairways that just have not recovered.Reviewer Rating

Course in stunning condition
Always an absolute joy to play here. The whole place is delightful with very friendly staff. The course was in the best condition I have ever seen with the greens in particularly fine fettle. Still played like a drain!Reviewer Rating

Mixed open
Played in a mixed open today at Edgbaston, really disappointed in the course condition, it looked very scruffy and unkempt. The greens were really slow and bumpy, I felt paying £60 was too much for this course in this condition, we won’t be going back and others we spoke to also said the same.Time for a rethink Edgbaston.Reviewer Rating

Hollow tinned greens for an OPEN event??
With so many good courses and fantastic greens in the area, I finally booked into an overpriced pairs open @ £35, fantastic clubhouse and facilities but things turned worse wehn we hit the putting green to find the greens were recovering from being tinned and sanded. great short game area and a range just down from the 10th tee.Moseley single medal £20 you got a coffee and a pastry what a nice touch, not even a coffee or a water. sadly I won't be back after this complete joke, If you have an open event your show casing your course I guess the rumours that the greens were shocking was true!
Deflated, one last word course layout was very nice.

Seen it looking better
A very good course but lacking a bit of TLC on this particular day. A little rough round the edges, and the greens were just 'coming back'(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 15.1)
