Wilmslow Golf Club State of the Art Player Performance Centre

By: Golf Shake | Wed 16 Jan 2013

5120-wilmslowWith Christmas and the New Year now distant memories, it’s time for golfers to get in some well earned practice and focus on some off course improvement during the often cold and dark months at the beginning of the year.

The Wilmslow Golf Club has all of this to offer the winter golfer with its brand new Player Performance Centre and practice facility. The Player Performance Centre is open for tuition and custom fitting to members and non-members and has been kitted out with the latest equipment including TrackMan, the market leader in ball flight analysis. The undercover bays, premium golf specific artificial turf for winter usage and top quality range golf balls all make for a great winter golf practice session.

The Centre is managed by, Wilmslow’s award winning, Head PGA Professional Matthew Gillingham, “the feedback from members and non-members has been really encouraging.  We have definitely achieved our goal of delivering a product that stands up against any other private members club in the area and guaranteeing our practice facility is in-keeping with the quality of our Championship Golf Course.”

General Manager of Wilmslow Keith Melia added, “we’ve definitely seen an increase in the number of golfers using the facility over the winter period and look forward to this continuing as the season commences”.

The Wilmslow Golf Club now has some excellent new facilities to offer golfers in the local area and the 18 months it took to complete the project was well worth the wait.
