The natural features of the La Cala terrain have been used to challenging effect by the renowned golf course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. The three courses are carefully maintained to ensure they are playable all year round. The North Course (now renamed Campo America) is perhaps more difficult than the shorter South (Campo Asia) but both demand great accuracy from the tee and careful club selection.
Meanwhile, the third golf course, Campo Europa, uses the River Ojen in making the course distinctive. The layout allows for plenty of water hazards. All three offer different challenges to all levels of golfers and demand good course management in addition to a wide variety of shots. 
La Cala Receive European Tourism Award

During the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) celebrated this year in Valencia, La Cala Resort had the opportunity to give Simone Klettke, managing director from Travelmotion (Switzerland) the prize as the “Best New TTOO in Central Europe”.
A happy Klettke stated:”Although our cooperation is very new, Travelmotion is very proud to collaborate with La Cala Resort as they are one the most recognised Golf Resorts in the Costa del Sol”.
Travelmotion clients come mainly from Germany, Switzerland and Austria and they are trying to introduce the company on the Dutch Market. She and all her team were delighted to receive the award in recognition of their potential and capacity to bring golfers from different countries in Europe.
La Cala Resort attended successfully the IGTM during 3 days. Rocio Alvarez (Continental Europe Sales Manager) said: “with more than 50 appointments with TTOO from all Europe, we had the opportunity in Valencia to reinforce the relations between us and our collaborators and to discuss the new coming season”
