Canford Magna Golf Club

The Parkland Course: A challenging 6,496 yard course of undulating grassland featuring a good combination of both par 3 and par 5 holes. The course was designed by the International Architect Howard Swan, which is evident in the play of this popular 18 hole configuration. Of particular note is its natural habitat being graced with the presence of many species of birds and wildfowl. The Riverside Course A most challenging course constructed to the same international standards and benefiting from the River Stour which winds through several ponds and water features. An 18 hole course, its length of 6,231 yards provides an excellent course for the more advanced player. The Knighton Course This 9 hole par 3 is a great introduction to the shorter game offering holes from 95 to 235 yards. Some of the greens have been designed with three levels making "finishing" in a dramatic style. A super course which will prove to be extremely popular for those golfers with a mission!

3rd Southpaw Charity Open

The 3rd Charity Tournament for Left Handed golfers at Canford Magna Golf Club, Wimborne, Dorset. Taking place on Friday 11th June 2010.

The Rotary Club of Bournemouth North invite all Left-handed Golfers to take part in the “SOUTHPAW OPEN” Golf Day.

The Tournament will take place at Canford Magna Golf Club, on the Parkland course, which is a challenging 6496 yard 18 hole course.

The charity tournament will be supporting Julia’s House, the Dorset Children’s Hospice. Julia’s House provides much needed care for Dorset children with complex life-limiting conditions in their homes and at their Hospice in Corfe Mullen.

Entry fee is £45 per person or £160 for a team of 4 players, fee includes coffee and a bacon bap on arrival, 18 holes of golf, followed by an evening meal, presentation of competition prizes, Raffle Draw, and an Auction of excellent prizes.

Many companies have already agreed to support this event by giving prizes and advertising in the Programme of Events
