You drive in and expect a totally flat course which is not what you get. Course is probably not the most demanding but suited me (28 handicapper) as it allows mistakes from which recoveries can be made. Given how dry it has been in the last 3/4 weeks the fairways were fairly lush and the greens were good and true. Worth playing if you want a decent 9 holes. There are different tees on the repeat 9 on some holes.

Used to play this course years ago when it was like a farmers field but having read the reviews decided it was worth looking at again. It was like turning back the clock but with new farmers, apart from the obvious foliage growth nothing else has changed the rough was rough and the boggy bits are still boggy. On the plus side they have some big plans which include a new clubhouse and a revamped course of 18 holes maybe it will be worth a visit when this is completed and had time to establish.

Probably the most improved course in the North. A few years ago it was like a farmer's field with a few flags, but since coming under new ownership and coupled with a progressive golf pro/golf director and very knowledgeable greenkeepers it has improved beyond recognition. You won't find better greens, they can be fast. The clubhouse and golf shop are small, but that will soon change when they build a new clubhouse, driving range and extra nine holes. I am led to believe that the membership has increased threefold in the past eighteen months - that says it all. A gem.

Good looking course which has changed beyond recognition over the past few years. In good condition. You have to hit the fairways as the first cut is very thick, and makes playing out extremely difficult. If you miss the first cut and find the rough, you have no chance.
Greens very quick, and had some of the toughest pin positions I've seen. A missed edge easily becomes a 10 foot putt back at best, chipping back onto the green again at worst.
Worth a trip - but be well stocked on balls.
