Race to The Algarve! 9-Hole Winter Golf League Tees Off at Richmond Park this December

By: Golf Shake | Mon 24 Nov 2014

Soggy golf shoes.  Restrictive waterproofs.  Losing the feeling in your fingers for the entire round, from a thinned five-iron.  Whilst the hardy few embrace winter golf in the true spirit of the game, most of us will be day-dreaming of a return to those sun-soaked fairways that we feel have only just left behind.

If the thought of winter golf is too much to bear, then how about this to keep you going!: 'Race to the Algarve' is a fun 9-hole golf league open to all, starting at Richmond Park Golf Course on 5th December.  The league will be played every Friday over the winter in a series of 10 games, culminating in a grand final at the end of February 2015.

The league champion wins a week's stay in a luxury villa in Vale de Lobo, surrounded by the very best golf courses that Portugal's coastline has to offer.  The villa is supplied courtesy of Owners Direct, sleeps up to 6 people and comes with it's own private roof terrace.  Runner-up prizes include a Motocaddy S1 Digital Trolley and Golfbuddy GPS Wristwatch.

Nick McArthur, Sales Manager for Richmond Park Golf Course explains: "Race to the Algarve is about having fun and making the most of golf this winter? - everyone is welcome and no official handicap is required. It's only £15 to enter each game, which includes green fees.  The 9-hole format makes is perfect for a quick round and bite to eat afterwards in our new clubhouse."

For more information and to enter the Race to the Algarve at Richmond Park Golf Course, visit www.glendalegolf.co.uk or call 0208 876 3205.
