2010 PGA Tour Awards
Following the European Tours recent rookie of the year award to Matteo Mannasero, the PGA Tour have announced Rickie Fowler as their winner.
Fowler is the youngest winner of the PGA rookie of the year, at 21, since 1996 when Tiger Woods was awarded the honour.
Fowler finished 32nd in the FedExCup standings, and is currently 26th in the Official world golf ranking.
Fowler was nominated alongside Derek Lamely, Rory McIlroy and Alex Prugh.
Jim Furyk was also named PGA Tour player of the year, following a successful season claiming the FedEx Cup after winning the Transitions Championship, the Verizon Heritage and Tour Championship.
