Titleist to Run 1,700 Club Fitting Events in 2021

By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 01 Apr 2021

Following the return of golf across England, Titleist has revealed a busy calendar of 1,700 club fitting events to be conducted throughout the UK and Ireland between now and the end of the year.

Starting this week, more than 8,200 golfers are expected to visit one of Titleist’s National Fitting Centres or attend a mobile fitting event in 2021, where they will be guided by a product expert to find the best equipment for their game.

Whether looking for a full bag fit, or to focus on a particular product, Titleist has a club to suit every golfer – no matter your ability, age, or gender – including the #1 drivers (TSi), irons (T-Series) and wedges (Vokey Design SM8) on the PGA Tour. Titleist also has a dedicated Scotty Cameron fitting specialist, who conducts events throughout the year that guide people through the selection process to find the best performing putter for their game.

All Titleist equipment can be shortened by up to four inches, with each National Fitting Centre and any fitting event offering options for younger golfers to try. There are also a number of venues nationwide that offer this service, with junior fitting packs available on request.

Hundreds of golf ball fitting events will also be available this year across the country, where Titleist’s experts will take players through its ‘green-to-tee’ approach to find the right product for their game. In addition, the #1 ball in golf is also the first brand to offer virtual golf ball consultations over Zoom, providing a convenient alternative for those individuals or groups unable to attend in person.

Alongside an improved online booking platform, Titleist has a comprehensive COVID-19 safety protocol in place. This includes making sure extra time is taken between fittings to scrub grips clean and reset the fitting area; only fitters will handle the head or shaft of the club, while golfers will be instructed to hold the grips; hand sanitiser will be supplied before every fitting begins; and social distancing will be adhered to at all times.

All of which means it has never been easier or safer for golfers to get fitted for new Titleist equipment.

Jack Yetton, Golf Club Fitting Manager, Titleist, said: “Custom fitting has always been at the heart of everything we do. Thanks to new technology, materials and processes, we have never had a better understanding of what each player needs, allowing us to build products that can work for everyone. We are therefore excited to announce such a comprehensive schedule of fitting events and look forward to welcoming everyone to one soon.”

Jan Diprose, Golf Ball Category Manager, Titleist, said: “We believe that every golfer can benefit from a golf ball fitting and, thanks to TrackMan technology and our expert fitters’ product knowledge, it has never been easier to fit someone into the best product for them. Given the recent arrival of the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x, redesigned from core to cover and already achieving great success across the professional tours, it is an exciting time for our fitters to be heading back out to speak to golfers.”
