How to Organise a Charity Golf Day for Prostate Cancer UK

By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 31 Oct 2019

Prostate cancer exists in every golf club. During a 45 minute span - roughly the time it'll take you to play three holes - a man in the UK will have died from the disease. Consequently, raising awareness and funds to improve research and public knowledge is becoming ever more vital, a mission that many golfers are taking upon themselves to complete.

Organising a charity golf day is a popular method of fundraising, a fun event to benefit a serious cause. And it's something that you could put together. Logistally, some could be put off by the challenge, but with the right support and careful planning, it's easier to accomplish than you may think. Prostate Cancer UK - recognising the demographics of golf - now has a dedicated team that will help to organise your next golf day.

Golfshake's Kevin Paver caught up with Prostate Cancer UK Ambassador - and former European Tour professional - Andrew Murray at Lymm Golf Club in Cheshire, during a recent golf day to find out more about how you can get involved and help raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
