Course Strategy - Play the Power Drive

By: Golfshake Editor | Mon 31 Jul 2017 | Comments ()

On the odd occasion, pulling out the driver and going for the green can result in birdies or eagles that can change your round. But with this comes the risk of putting yourself in big trouble off the tee, or simply hitting poor shots because you are trying to hit the ball harder and stronger than usual.

James Reeson believes that this can be a very effective tactic on the course, when it is done right. Many people will simply try and whack there driver as hard and as far as possible, not really aiming or planning the shot they want. This philosophy can lead to a whole host of problems and cause bogeys and doubles instead of birdies.

James believes that simply picking out an intermediate target, teeing the ball up a touch higher and putting more weight into the right side you can increase your distance off the tee. By making sure you are doing this with sensible strategy in mind, you can start to have very positive impacts on your future rounds.
