Crash Bang Wallop.........:-(

Posted by: user50354 | Mon 30th Jul 2007 11:31 | Last Reply

Three weeks into owning my new Renault Scenic and looking forward to a double wammy of golf at the weekend my pleasures where shattered as a transit van ploughed into the back of me.

Gutted at the sight of my car I went to hospital and was informed that the "whiplash" will get worse before it gets better. The back pain and head aches and stomach pains will all contribute to a lousy weekend - and how right the doctor was, Agony and sleepless nights.

Off to the doctors later today for the dreaded "sick note" (always feel guilty when my name is on one of those) and wife is taking car to the garage.

Teenage daughter is parading around the house totally un-amused at the thought of dad being off work whilst she is off school.

The weekends golf was obviously cancelled. Sitting around bored to tears not knowing what to do or even how to do it.

Just when that little white ball was starting to go well - "crash bang wallop"

Only the sight of my brand spanking new "John Letters Trilogy 5 wood" could muster a wee grin

Cheers Guy's.

Doc signed me off for two weeks.....

But on a brighter note the hospital doc said "if you can play golf then go do - it is a great exercise for this kind of injury"....
