starting a society

Can anyone give me or point me in the right direction to find information on starting a society. i.e minimum no of members,comitees,hadicaps etc thanks

Graham, if your not bothered about an official registered society they there is no need to do anything.
A society can be 4 players who regularly play together.
Don't forget this site will allow you to maintain your golf society/group online, track competitions through the season, maintain a society leaderboard, track all members handicap and much more.
