I love this par 3
But can't seem to hit the green! Had a decent card till I reached this par 3 twelth. Always seem to get the jitters when teeing up. How would you approach it mentally?
The three times I have played it, lost 6 balls in the water, but on the third occasion I layed up and pitched on for a four.

OK, how do I post an image?

I'd find an easier course! Which course is it and how many yds? I have had similar troubles at Crondon Park course with an island green.
I guess I'd just select the right club, focus on the pin and tell myself that on the range I can hit it straight and true most of the time and except that every now and then it will drop in the water. It is a small target mind.

Toot Hill in Essex. Lovely course may I add. The card says 170 off the yellows, but I think it's shorter than that as my 8 iron sailed over the back on my first effort. The island green was only completed this year and now they have ripped up the whites and yellow tees and are raising it up, so I think now you will be looking down at the hole!!
The image I have posted is from the wrong tee. Next time I go I will get one from the right tee.

My office is soon to relocate to Abbess Roding just north of Ongar so maybe I'll have to give it a go sometime soon!

What's the 18th like at Crondon Park Andy? Never played it, but hear it's a monster!

It is very long off the black(I think) tees and calls itself the longest hole in the world or something like that (800 yds odd) but off the yellows it is 574yds so is nothing special.
